One place for Year 4 projects.
No more cold emails.

Every UNSW medical student completes a supervised research project in Year 4 — ILP, Honours Research, or Honours Coursework (including MHPP). Right now that means a Teams channel that runs differently per discipline, and students cold-emailing staff regardless of who is actually supervising this year. This is what a single, filterable, structured alternative could look like.

1 channel, 0 standardToday's Teams group ranges from a spreadsheet to a single vague post, discipline by discipline.
2027Rural students can no longer return to Sydney for Year 4 — they need local supervisors and projects.

How this works

No login needed to browse. Three things to know before you start.

1

Everything shown is available

Every project below is one a supervisor has confirmed they're taking students for. Nothing stale, nothing already spoken for.

2

Full projects grey out

Once a supervisor reaches their cap, the project greys out automatically — so you never send an EOI to someone who's already full.

3

Filter and browse, don't cold-email

Narrow by stream, location and co-supervision below, then send a short, structured expression of interest — instead of guessing who to email.

What we need from supervisors

Put your hand up, even for one or two smaller, well-scoped projects. Tell us if a platform like this would actually help, and whether you'd take a rural + metro co-supervision pairing.

CPD → Done well, supervision covers almost a whole triennium of CPD across education, supervision and research participation.
Forums → Regional research collaboration forums, including the Wagga Collaboration Forum, to connect and be recognised.
Competition → A regional-campus ILP competition — doctors, and future doctors, are competitive.
Co-supervision → Rural + metro pairing shares the load and opens up projects rural students otherwise can't reach.
